Ms. Maura Barry Boyle serves as the Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator and interim Global Water Coordinator in USAID’s Bureau for Resilience and Food Security, which leads the U.S. Government’s Global Water Strategy and Global Food Security Strategy. She oversees USAID strategic direction and partnerships, operations and programming to reduce global hunger, poverty, and malnutrition while increasing the availability and sustainable management of safe water and sanitation for all. As a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, she has held various leadership positions throughout USAID, including assignments in Jamaica, Thailand, Afghanistan, and Kenya (covering Somalia, Djibouti and Burundi). Ms. Barry has been working in international development for over 30 years and started this journey as a Peace Corps volunteer in western Kenya. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from New York University.
