Dr Nalishebo Meebelo is the Executive Director at the Secretariat of the Regional Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes (ReNAPRI) – a group of research centers located in Central, East, Southern and West Africa. Over the last two decades, She has coordinated the implementation of several initiatives focused on agricultural development, food and nutrition security in the African continent, working at national, regional, and continental levels.
Dr. Meebelo co-Chairs the Task Force on Food and Nutrition Security Data and Hunger Hotspots in Africa during the COVID – 19 pandemic. She is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for AFRICAP, an initiative of the Global Challenges Research Fund, led by Leeds University in the United Kingdom and, is the Africa-wide Regional Champion for their iFEED initiative implemented by FANRPAN. She mentors young Zambian women in agricultural research and development as a member of ZaWARD and chairs the Board of Nkoka Women in Agro-business (Zambia) among other roles.
